What Becomes Possible
3~MONTH MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
This path is shorter, but it is not smaller. Three months is enough time to change the way you move through the world — and to start moving the systems around you.
You will examine the racial training you've received and continue to receive, and see clearly how it lands in your body as tension, as reflex, as hesitation or overcorrection. You will learn how that embodied conditioning shows up in your interactions across difference — with students, patients, colleagues, and the communities you organize alongside. And you will build real practices to unwind it, not just understand it intellectually.
This is the work of becoming a living antidote. Not a spokesperson for antiracism, not a performer of it — an actual site of change, someone whose presence in a classroom, a clinic, or a movement space interrupts harm rather than repeating it.
By the end of three months, you won't just carry new information. You'll carry a different nervous system response to conflict and discomfort. You'll be equipped to move people, because you've done the work of moving yourself — and from there, to move the systems people move through: your school, your practice, your organization, your field.
This is the promise of Internal Social Justice: authentic, non-performative antiracist action, built from the inside out, so the change you make in the world outlasts the three months it took to build it.
6~MONTH MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
This is not a workshop. It is not a single afternoon of discomfort followed by a certificate. This is six months inside the work — long enough to actually change how you practice medicine and healing arts, not just how you talk about it.
You will Re-Veal the racial conditioning that has quietly shaped your clinical judgment, your bedside manner, who you see clearly and who you don't. You will Re-Train out of unconscious bias with real tools, not slogans. You will Re-Emerge able to engage in generative conflict and loving disruption — able to advocate, correct course, and hold your practice accountable without collapsing into performance or guilt.
By the end, your private practice — the actual walls, forms, language, and access points — will reflect the equity you intend. Your website will say what you mean. Your intake process, your waiting room, your patient relationships will carry the evidence of internal work made external.
This is the promise of Internal Social Justice: not performative antiracism, but a fundamental retraining — so that the practitioner who finishes this program in six months is simply not the same one who started it. Health equity stops being an aspiration you hold and becomes a practice you live, session by session, patient by patient, for as long as you do this work.
“To recognize and commit to the necessity of anti-racist values requires a deeper investigation into our own, often unconsciously held, racial/cultural biases. This is not only essential for reducing the harm so often incurred by minoritized communities, but also serves to position practitioners responsibly within their traditions – which often have non-European/American origins. Too often there is great disconnect between the intention to “help” or “be of service”, and the impact on those we aim to serve.”
